Adult RE — 9:30 AM\ Iris Craig, “Be the Change”\ Small Group Ministry Institute, The Mountain, August 2008\ Check-In: What is alive in you this moment? Or, briefly share a joy or sorrow that has happened to you since we last met.\ Quote: “We must be the change we wish to see on the world.” Gandhi\ Life Questions: \ • What changes do you need/want to have happen inside yourself? In your relationships? In the word around you? In NVUU?\ • What have you done to make these changes?\ • What might you do to make these changes internally? Externally?\ • Let’s get together to discuss the changes we would like to see in ourselves, our relationships, in the world around you?\ \ Main Service — 11:00 AM\ Guest minister Clovice Lewis, “Church 2.0 - Spiritual Challenges”\ Many religious and spiritual organizations have transitioned to on-line delivery of pastoral, administrative, and Sunday services. The current focus is on restoring a pre-COVID status quo. Consequently, further challenges, such as the many effects of climate disruption are not generally being planned for. That is because many people have not recognized that the post-March 2020 world is fundamentally and permanently changed. Clovice’s November 7 service will describe how his “Church 2.0” project is intended to inform, prepare, and equip religious organizations to meet spiritual needs in a time of chronic and ongoing crisis. He will explore how organizations of all kinds can navigate the spiritual waters of disruption.\ \ Social hour — ten minutes after completion of the service\ \ We are now offering in-person and virtual services. Visit nvuu.org for more info.\
