Join us for four gatherings to dive deep and prepare ourselves for the High Holy Days through reading and discussing the late Rabbi Alan Lew's beautiful and enlivening book, This is Real and You Are Completely Unprepared. The book takes use through the deep themes of Tisha B'Av, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, and how those seasons also describe the experience and the work of our souls. Discussion led by Barbara Lesch McCaffry and Basha Hirschfeld. The book is available on line; handouts with important excerpts will also be available.
