Sonoma State University Academics -
As a premier public undergraduate institution, Sonoma State University is dedicated to enlightening students, growing minds, and enriching lives. The relatively small campus allows for close faculty-student interaction and features roughly 8,000 students.Six academic schools of interest are represented including the Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences. A total of 45 bachelor's degrees and 16 masters degrees are offered, in addition to 9 credential programs.
Sonoma State Athletics -
Experience exciting Seawolves athletics at Sonoma State University. The college participates in NCAA Division II athletics and sponsors 13 sports including men's and women's golf, soccer, tennis, softball, baseball, volleyball and basketball.Over the last several years, Sonoma State athletic teams have had notable success, including the 2002 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer National Championship and the 2003 CCAA Baseball Championship. The Women's Basketball team has made trips to the NCAA Tournament in four of the last seven years and the women's tennis team qualified for the NCAA's for the ninth consecutive year.
