Sonoma Raceway Track History -
The Sonoma Raceway was founded in 1968 on 720 acres. The property was built on the site of a former 1900s dairy farm, and was formerly known as the Sears Point Raceway and then Infineon Raceway. In 2002, the raceway officially changed its name to Infineon Raceway. Today, Sonoma Raceway spans 1,600 acres and is an unforgettable destination to discover high-speeding motorsport action along the 12-turn road course or the quarter mile drag strip.
