P-Town 4th 2014 The 4th of July celebrates another year of the USA’s Independence Day. It’s also an excuse for eating barbecue and watching fireworks! Festivities get started at 3 p.m., with games for the whole family in the Kid Zone. Around 6 p.m., enjoy live music, including Sonoma County’s own Paulie’s Garage. Food vendors will offer delicious eats plus drinks and desserts. After the sun goes down, the night sky will light up with an awesome, old-fashioned fireworks display, around 9 p.m. Tickets for entrance to the festivities are $2 for adults, and $1 for children 4 to 10 years old. Tots 3 and under are free of charge. The pyrotechnics promise to be absolutely dazzlingâ€"not too high so you can’t see anything, and not so low that you feel like you have to run for cover. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and small shade umbrellas, as well as your own small coolers for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is not permitted, but will be for sale on the fairgrounds. If you feel like bringing your own sparklers, bottle rockets, or Chinese flowers, don’t bother. For safety reasons, personal fireworks are not permitted on the fairgrounds. Major sponsor Sonoma Media Group will broadcast the fireworks show on 97.7 FM The River classic rock radio station, which will be at the fairgrounds doing a prize giveaway.
